Social audit
We believe that hospitals, whether private or public, should be subjected to social audit. This involves a process whereby service users, carers, and the public review our service from various perspectives. This includes answering questions like:
Are we protecting the human rights of our service users ?
Are we offering a safe and appropriate environment for our inpatients ?
Are our staff able to meet all the needs of our patients ?
Do we involve patients and carers in all our treatment plans ?
Are we listening well to complaints from patients ?
Are we keeping all information about individual patients confidential ?
Do our research programmes meet the highest ethical standards ?
How satisfied are our service users ?
We intend to publish social audit reports annually.
